Why is there so much poverty, starvation, conflict, war, and suffering in our world?
Almost 900 million people worldwide suffer from chronic undernourishment. 21,000 people, 14,000 of whom are children, die every day, of hunger or hunger related causes. During the past century over 100 million people have been killed in wars Many conflicts, such as those in Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Ukraine, and many more, continue unabated.
The source of these problems I believe is:
All our political, public…..
In 1931, Monseigneur Georges Lemaître proposed in his hypothèse de l’atome primitif (hypothesis of the primeval atom) that the universe began with the ‘explosion’ of the ‘primeval atom’. This theory later became known as the Big Bang Theory.
In my blog dated 9th Nov 2014 I gave logical reasons why the Big Bang theory is not a credible model for explaining the origin of the universe. In this blog I will explain an alternative model, which I have named…..
The concept of the Big Bang is based on the mindset that the universe is purely a physical1 phenomenon, as was explained in my blog of November 9th, 2014. Whether correct or otherwise, the Big Bang theory sets the agenda for the scientific understanding of life, which is as follows:
Life emerged from non-life about 3.7 billion years ago Life evolved, and continues to evolve, based on mutation, natural selection, and time All mutations are by chance.
This…..
The language of physics is mathematics, which can only describe the physical universe1. In other words, mathematics must have something (some ‘thing’) to describe – a particle, a wave, a vibration, a string, a membrane etc. Einstein once said: “So far as the theories of mathematics are about reality, they are not certain; so far as they are certain, they are not about reality.”
Mathematics, therefore, cannot describe the non-physical2 or pre-particle state – and logically there must be a pre-particle…..
In 1931, Monseigneur Georges Lemaître proposed in his hypothèse de l’atome primitif (hypothesis of the primeval atom) that the universe began with the ‘explosion’ of the ‘primeval atom’. It was Fred Hoyle, one of the architects of the steady state theory, who coined the name of Lemaître’s theory, referring to it as ‘this big bang idea’ in a radio interview in March 1949.
Many of our greatest scientific minds now believe that all matter, energy and space in the universe was…..
The universe is everything that exists physically, the entirety of space and time, all forms of matter, energy, and momentum, and the physical laws and constants that govern them. The age of the universe is believed to be approximately 13.7 billion years, and scientists estimate that the diameter of the observable universe is at least 93 billion light years.
The Earth is part of the solar system. The solar system exists in the Milky Way galaxy. The sun is one of the stars in the…..
Dark Energy and Human Consciousness presents a new and unique understanding of how the universe, and life in it, emerged and evolved. It explains the interconnectedness among all aspects of reality from the source of the universe to life, mind, and human consciousness. Some very important insights that readers may get from reading this book are as follows:
A better understanding of the self
Many people believe that there is both a physical and a non-physical (or spiritual)…..
Around the turn of the century I was appalled at the level of selfishness, corruption, abuse of power, and greed (SCAG for short) that seemed to dominate in all our political, public service, financial, and religious institutions worldwide. I was determined to do something about this problem, but not having a political bone in my body I decided that the only thing I could do was write about it.
I quickly realised that while there were many writers trying to…..
While many people believe that there is a spiritual aspect to life, it is the scientific understanding of life that dictates how our world operates – because it informs the collective consciousness that dominates in all our political, public service, financial and business institutions worldwide.
The scientific understanding of life is as follows:
Life emerged from non-life about 3.7 billion years ago Life evolved, and continues to evolve, based on mutation, natural selection, and time All mutations are by chance……
When we look at our world, should we be pleased with what we see, or should we be disappointed or even outraged with the world we have created?
It is fair to say that, due to major advances in science and technology, the standard of living, particularly in the western world, has substantially improved in the last three centuries. However, has the quality of life for a large proportion of the earth’s population improved to any significant degree during this…..
